Eating Fresh Sea Fish?

Most of us should be eating more fish. It's an excellent source of protein, and it contains essential vitamins and minerals such as selenium and iodine. However, it is difficult to just do that in Malaysia. Eating fish at the restaurant is a luxury, especially fresh steamed fish. Buying fresh fishes in market is equally challenging.

Most fishes in Malaysia are imported in containers, going through many hands before reaching markets. The fishes arrived market at end of the day may have gone through rounds of defrosting and refreezing. These fishes are therefore no longer fresh. Making matter worse, fishes left long hours in open air during selling attract bacteria. In some cases, preservatives are also added in order to keep the fishes looking fresh, and to avoid smell and spoiled.

Many times after buying the fish from market, we will deep fry it or add a lot of spices/seasoning to cover the smell. What more to the health factor in eating fish?

Therefore, my family decided to source fresh local sea fishes that are direct from Malaysia’s ports, flash freeze, and ship straight to our pick up point. We have expanded from initially just getting enough for ourselves, to supplying for our relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The fishes are gutted, cleaned, and packed in good sizes, making easy to cook. They will be able to last a few weeks in the freezer, so we all can slowly finish them and yet keeping them fresh. Now, everyone can start living a healthy lifestyle!
